Synthes Wrist Fusion Instrument and implant Set w/Self Tapping Screws. The Synthes Wrist Fusion set is indicated for the following conditions: post-traumatic arthritis of the joints of the wrist, rheumatoid wrist deformities requiring restoration, complex carpal instability, destruction of the wrist joint by infection, post-septic arthritis of the wrist, severe unremitting wrist pain related to motion, brachial plexus nerve palsies, tumor resection, and spastic deformities. Each precontured plate reduces the needs of intraoperative bending saving time and energy during the procedure. The reduced profile of the tapered ended plates minimizes plate prominence so the patient cannot readily feel the plate at the surgical site. The LC-DCP design of the plate limits the contact with the periostum, allowing the blood supply to be maintained to the fracture site. The plates also have a built-in fusion angle of 10° dorsiflexion
